INTIMACY OF DEATH

Death. Can we approach this subject simply? Are we as free to talk about it as we are about all the other life transitions we go through? How do we choose to die? This project is intended to make you think about your own death and those of the people around you. 

I. THE FINAL VISION

This series is inspired by people I’ve known who have died, or who are part of my family history. I put myself in their place and imagined what their last vision before death might have been. 

I dwelled upon this final moment, when a person becomes aware that life on Earth is over. That brief moment when we cast a last glance at the humanity around us. What image of the world do we reflect on in those few seconds before we leave life behind?
